Joint NPA 50th and NPWS 40th Anniversary Celebrations

The relationship and historical ties between NPA and NPWS were strengthened during 2007 through the following shared joint anniversary activities:

• Sponsorship of the 2007 Great Australian Bushwalk in NSW
• NPA/NPWS Anniversary Picnic on Shark Island on 1 October 2007
• Dedication of the Strom Centre on the Central Coast on 6 October 2007
• Awarding of two-year Park Passes to NPA Honorary Life Members and annual Park Passes to Statewide Volunteer Award Winners at the NPA 50th Anniversary Dinner
• CoastKeepers event that celebrated the ten-year anniversary of the Marine Parks Act at Solitary Island Marine Park
• Joint anniversary Statewide map

Branch committee meetings

5.45 pm second Monday of every month.
NPA Head Office, Level 9, 91 York St, Sydney.
Come along and get involved - you'll be helping the environment at the same time! All welcome.

Sydney members evenings

These pleasant and interesting social evenings are held on the third Thursday of every month. They start at 7.30pm at 165 Blues Point Road, North Sydney, a five-minute walk from North Sydney Station. All welcome, including friends and guests.

Thursday 21 February

The Summer holidays will be over and a lot of members will have been on some exciting trips and walks. Please bring along to this first Members Evening for 2008 up to ten pictures of your trip or walk. We will have the NPA data projector at the evening. Please also bring photo albums, and best of all enjoy the walkers get-together supper. Contributions of eats will be welcome.

VOLUNTEER POSITION

Member Activities Coordinator

Sydney Branch is seeking a volunteer to assist with the coordination of its member activities. This will involve some liaison to deliver once a month member social evenings and occasional field trips. There may also be a number yearly events such as film nights.
